The direct Windows downloads aren't code-signed, so Windows warns on first launch. The Microsoft Store version is signed. How to get past it
On a Mac, the App Store installs WaveKat Voice for you and you open it from Applications; on Windows, the Microsoft Store does the same. If you took a direct download instead, double-click the .dmg and drag WaveKat Voice into Applications on a Mac, or run the .exe on Windows. On Linux, open the .deb in your software installer, or install it from a terminal with apt or dpkg.
Open WaveKat Voice once it's installed. It sits quietly out of the way, ready whenever the phone rings.
A short setup walks you through signing in with your phone provider — pick it from the list and we fill in the rest.
WaveKat Voice is on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 and 11, and that is the simplest way to install it: one listing that covers Intel and AMD PCs and ARM PCs alike, so the Store hands your machine the right build and keeps it updated. Microsoft signs the package, so there is no security warning on first launch.
The direct .exe downloads, in the list above, aren't code-signed yet, so the first time you run one Windows SmartScreen shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box. The warning is about a certificate we haven't bought yet, not about the file — here's how to get past it.
Click "More info" in the SmartScreen box.
Click "Run anyway", then follow the installer.
That's it — Windows won't ask again, and updates install quietly from then on.
Both direct builds sit in the Windows column above, and you pick your own: "Download for Windows" is the 64-bit build for Intel and AMD PCs, and "Download for Windows on ARM" is the native build for Snapdragon and other ARM PCs.
An account with a phone provider — Twilio, Telnyx, 2talk, and more. It's the same login you'd use for any internet phone, and if you already make business calls online, your provider almost certainly works.

WaveKat Voice keeps itself up to date. A copy from the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store updates the way every other store app does; a direct download quietly checks for new versions and updates itself in the background. Either way, you'll never have to come back here to download a newer one.
